Samsung Galaxy Fold

Ordered the Samsung Galaxy Fold on 18th September got told next day delivery, no txt message from DPD, called today and got told could be upto 14day. If I New that I would have just gone out and brought one. When will I get it???

What is it like to use folded? From the pictures I've seen it looks narrow. I'm dying to use one myself.

The screen is usable although small. I find that it's good for browsing and skimming quick items like whatsapp messages, SMS or quick look through Facebook or Instagram. Because the screen is smaller, I'm probably getting better battery life. It's only now and again when I open up the phone for a richer browser experience i.e. scrolling through photos or want to type out longer emails or messages.

The crease is hardly a problem, and does not impact the experience whatsoever.

Back to the front screen - it's 4.6" and you have to remember that there was a point in time this was considered BIG. So you just need to adjust the way you use it as you have a separate launcher for the front Vs when you open up. I have a small number of apps on front which I use regularly for browsing. The main desktop has a richer set of widgets and shortcuts as if I'm using a tablet.

Bottom line, this is truly a innovative and game changing device!

Any news on Samsung Galaxy Fold? When they going to be dispatched?

Samsung has indicated that there will be limited availability of the device in the UK at launch. As a result, all orders received will be fulfilled on a first come first serve basis until stock is more widely available.

As @Leanne_T said earlier in the thread, DPD will be in contact when it's ready to be delivered.

I got my galaxy fold today. Was meant to come Friday but was away all weekend so had delivered today.

Frim first impressions it is an amazing piece of kit. I love it.  Also smaller than what thought and I don’t mind front screen being small at all as I have small hands it is perfect for me. Legs see how it holds up!
