I got hold of the helpdesk and they couldnt resolve my issue - promised to call me back that day, still waiting. How do I contact them? I understand there is a high volume of calls (is EE that bad a service?) - but I would appreciate a call back when they chose the day to call me back.

What is the issue you have? If it's account-specific, you'll be best off calling back into C/ to resolve it, but the community can likely help with general queries.
When was it you last spoke to an agent and they advised you of a callback?

I called Saturday, they said they would check something and call me back and nothing - I tried but couldn't get through Monday, got through Tuesday and got completely different information but that did resolve the issue. Annoyed as I'm now on a tariff for a year that I wouldn't have gone for - but completely my fault for not double checking the fine print.
