I, too, am having this problem. I've gone through the stages suggested in the previous posts but it keeps reverting back to the temporary number. Could you please help?

Hi @Jennifer1967,
As your number transfer has only completed recently, I'd recommend trying the process again after 24 hours. Please let us know if it still isn't working.

Ok thanks @James_B . So should my number meanwhile show as the temp number in settings: phone? I can have both numbers on iMessage but only one on phone. I want to make sure I'm selecting the correct one so that the transfer goes through smoothly. thanks.

Yes, just until your number transfer has finished in the background. You can keep trying the steps in the solution to this thread periodically until it updates.

Morning @James_B Gone through the steps outline above multiple times and each time I switch the phone back on it reverts to the temporary number. As it's now been well over 24 hours since I transferred the date, could you please suggest an alternative fix so that I can use the phone? thanks. Jennifer

@Jennifer1967 Have you just moved to EE from a different network? If you did when was this as number ports don’t happen over the weekend.
