I see you did find it in the EE Shop.
EE won't port nos between contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.
You could alternatively "upgrade" your old contract to PAYG & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.

@XRaySpeX its in my ee shop and in my account basket as I am already a long standing EE mobile and broadband customer. I was just wanting to make sure I could transfer an old number to the new sim card before purchasing from EE as I know transferring from another network is thought to be simpler than from the same one. I've got the answer from a helpful person, so i dont require further assistance, thank you

its under the topic of sim cards
It is now only cuz I moved it there from the PAYG forum as being unsuitable for that.

It might be if you can persuade EE to move your old contract to PAYG & then transfer the PAYG no. to your new contract. Otherwise you will need to go the long-winded route. Is your current EE no. on a contract?
