Porting number ee to ee

AlexBH
Visitor

Installed myee on new phone. Now it won't let me use PAC as it's a 'multi user account'! Just want my old ee number on my new phone from carphone warehouse. How can I get a working PAC. I only want the new contract, but with the old number.

It sounds like you're trying to upgrade without buying your phone as an upgrade. If you've bought a new phone with a new number, EE won't transfer your existing number to it. Porting is for transferring your number between networks, not within the same network.

There are a couple of long-winded ways to do it, but the only official way is to buy your chosen phone as an upgrade.

CPW are quite capable of selling phones as upgrades, but you may need to specifically ask.

EE won't port nos between contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.

You'll need to phone CS for your PAC as you have a multi-user a/c.

You could alternatively "upgrade" your old contract to PAYG & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.
