I have Plusnet Broadband and also EE 4G.
So my Plusnet email suddenly stops sending outgoing emails on EE 4G from yesterday afternoon. If I change back to Plusnet Broadband, it goes through. This happens on both Outlook 2007 on my laptop and on my Samsung Mobile phone.
I phoned EE and they checked me out for IP address being blacklisted and they said no. I was then cut off and can't get back through 😞
Anybody else having this problem? I have played around with port numbers to no avail.

Port 25 is insecure & may only be used when connecting over PN BB.
What encryption did you have with Port 587?
Use either:
- Port 587 with STARTTLS. or
- if you can't do that, Port 465 with SSL/TLS.

Does web access work?
outlook 2007 is very old. I would recommend you upgrade to a newer version and retry

Nothing work with Outlook 2007.
The problem is with my mobile too, and its brand new.
Yes web access works, this is purely an email problem affecting Plusnet and EE.

No, I mean if you log in to Plusnet web mail - does it work from there?
Does the email leave your outbox? Do you get an NDR

OL 2007 isn't behind this problem.
What have you put as the Outgoing Server settings (all of them) in your email client obscuring your name?

I was able to send test emails from Plusnet webmail this morning, however they have not appeared in the Sent items. To be honest I don't think webmail is functioning properly, but that just might be a symptom of the slow broadband (why we are moving to EE 4G).
Sorry I am not sure what NDR is?

Outgoing settings are:
relay.plus.net
Outgoing port: 25, encryption None.
I have tried fiddling around with the ports as per various suggestions to no avail. I have changed the Out going port to 587 but that did not work.

NDR = Non-Delivery Report, commonly known as a "bounce".

Not getting those. The emails are delivered. The emails sent when I am on Plusnet Broadband and won't send on EE4G. They were sending up until around 4pm yesterday afternoon. Plusnet say they know of no issue that would cause this.
