I've just taken a new SIM only deal out and also had a new iPhone SE with this, but I've done this through a third party (Affordable mobiles). I'm still with EE but I can't cancel my old SIM only deal or get a PAC or STAC code to cancel/port my existing number. I've rang 150 and got told I have to get a pay as you go sim from another provider, but then the information given was very confusing, so would appreciate it if someone could explain exactly what I need to do please.
Thanks
Richard

Hi,
This sounds like exactly the problem ive currently got. I've been on the EE Community and eventually got advised it would be best to send my new phone back as i'm still I the 14 day period.
However, i'd rather sort the problem and keep my new phone with my existing number, as I also can not cancel my existing sim only deal (so i'm currently paying for 2 plans!)
I've ordered a Vodaphone PAYG sim which has arrived, so what exactly do I need to do now as i'm a little confused?

- Ask EE for PAC for existing no.
- Get Voda PAYG SIM.
- Give Voda the PAC from EE & wait for no. to be ported to Voda PAYG SIM.
- Ask Voda for a PAC.
- Give EE the PAC from Voda for your new contract.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Problem ive got is EE can't/won't give me a PAC?? The reply on my text says: (my number) is part of a multiple subscription account so are not able to complete this request by text.
I've rang 150 but they also couldn't give me my PAC and i didn't fully understand what I need to do, so wanted someone to write it down for me.

EE can't refuse to give you a PAC if you are fully paid up & even then they shouldn't.

Unfortunately for me, that is exactly what has happened. I've called 150 twice (after being on hold for over 30mins) and spoke to two different people and each one said they can't give me a PAC.
They both said about getting the PAYG sim but I don't understand what I need to do next.

What reason did they give for refusing to give a PAC?

The current number being part of a multiple subscription.is only a reason for not doing it online but they still should give it to you by phone. They are in breach of OFCOM rules.
