Oppo Find X2 Pro contactless payment

Cotters1984

Hi

I have just received this phone but I have been unable to set up contactless payments for Google pay , in the Google play store it states that my device is not certified for play protect certification.

Have I just received a faulty handset or is this phone not capable of contactless payments ?

Hi @Cotters1984

Have you installed a rom or was the device from EE with the default firmware?

Have you tried clearing the play store cache/data (settings- applications)

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

It was from EE. I have cleared all that but still saying not cerified.  I have even spoken with oppo support via twitter but they do not seem to know what it is.

Is it possible I have just been given a faulty handset?

Hi @Cotters1984

Back up and try factory resetting. It's not the hardware it's the software.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks
