Number recycling

Hello! I recently switched to a contract sim from PAYG but I ordered a dog tag with my old PAYG number and I completely blanked, I have the a20e so I can take advantage of the dual sim feature but I'm worried my number will be recycled since I went into my settings and turned my PAYG sim off (Since my dog isn't lost it's pointless having it on) but how would I avoid having my number flagged as inactive/recycled.

Hi @AlexLee2001

Welcome to the EE Community,

you need to make a chargeable activity once every 6 months to keep the number active.

Thanks,

David.

@AlexLee2001   You need to make a chargeable call/text from that number at least every couple of months to keep it activated.

Okay thank you, I think my best option is to just get a new tag.
