Not able to make phone calls or receive

I am currently on an iPhone XR my data works completely fine whereas my sim isn’t allowing me to take calls or make calls

What happens when you try to make a call?

Do you get an error message?

Can you send and receive texts?

When I make calls it doesn’t even ring I can send messages and use data fine , when someone tries to call me it says this number isn’t taking calls right now

Can you make sure the Do Not Disturb feature is turned off?

Do you have a signal on the phone, or are you using WiFi?

Yeah I have signal also DND isn’t on it allows me to use data and text fine , it’s just that when I make calls it does not go through or when I receive calls it don’t ring even though I have unlimited

Is this a new phone or have you had it a while?

Are you able to try your SIM card in another phone?

This would help to determine where the problem lies.
