Hi folks
Some advice please.
I ordered a 4GEE PAYG data sim for my netgear mifi router, as per instructions l placed it in the router, turned on the router and connected to it via my tablet. The instructions read to turn off wifi which causes me to loose communications with the router. I'm unable to plug the router into the tablet as its a different size socket. Next I put the new sim in my dual sim phone and tried to go to add-on.ee.co.uk but it wont connect as theres no service. I then went to the ee website and topped up the new sim as I thought as I have no credit yet it wont work ? I successfully put £5 on to it but its still now letting me access the ee network, any ideas?
Both my router and phone are unlocked.
Thanks

Which/What's instructions? That's aimed at mobile phones where you can only get to the mobile network with WiFi off. A mobile router is always connected to the mobile network. Its WiFi must always be on if you hope to connect any devices to it.
2. What does http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase from a device connected to it by WiFi offer you?
3. Does your tablet have a USB port? You could plug the router's USB cable into that. It's a quasi-Ethernet connection.

Hi Xrayspex
Thanks for responding
The instructions are the ones that can with the sim card in the post.
I've had a pay as you go sim in my phone for years with no problems, i brought an unlocked Netgear mifi router and for a while l kept putting my phone sim in it which worked fine. I ordered a data only sim from the ee website thinking it would save me keep swapping out the sim. When the new sim is in the router i picks up the ee network on its display but i cant surf the web

Have you bought a data add-on for it or did it come with 1?
What does texting AL to 150 from it fully report verbatim?

Why not? Most mobile routers do texts. You sure you can't?
Did you try that add-on purchase link I gave you? What happened?

All sorted thanks, after going through all the settings again, I had the wrong APN.
Changed it, happy days!
Thanks for your help
