New iPhone 13

Like most of you, I got the iPhone 12 Pro Max on release day, with Apple now confirming the new iPhone 13 to release next week, we will have to pay to upgrade?

Just had £300 early upgrade fee waived to upgrade anytime.

There seems to be confusion in this thread. Most people are talking about upgrade anytime which is a feature of some contracts but Stephanie’s issue seems different and concerns upgrading from Sim only to a full handset contract

@Amyb29  I’ve been an iPhone user since the first iPhone so probably longer than you

I also know that Apple had a staggered launch of the 12s because that’s what they chose too do.   And Apple have launch them way earlier than September try January and then they changed to June and now it’s September since the iPhone 5.

no call EE and they will sort you out. I called and they said they will waive the fee. Today their system crash.

Had my 300 fee waived on two lines.  It seems the anytime upgrade fees ARE being waived.  Other contracts quite rightly they won’t waive because regardless of when Apple released the phone you would always have had to pay.

For us anytime upgraders our 12 months was up in September last year and we paid 2 months more line rental waiting for the iPhone 12 which we wouldn’t have ordinarily paid.  Although this isn’t EE’s fault, they got their money so waiving the fee is only fair.

I have £100 fee until October and was told no waiving of the £100 fee by an advisor on chat and then by a manager. Went to customer complaints as I’d seen people saying they had it waived on Twitter… still told no.

I’ve got two phone lines and watch contract and 10 years continuous loyalty… needless to say I am cancelling all of them when they expire next year as it’s pretty appalling service and from a business perspective seems to make no sense… non waiving of a £100 fee will cost them around £1800 a year… very odd way to treat loyal customers.

I completely agree

Is this an anytime upgrade? I had my £300 anytime upgrade fee removed and obviously I return my 12 pro max

I was told on chat I could upgrade today but on my account it says 1st October so system wouldn’t allow it

£100 anytime upgrade fee, free from 22/10/21 and they wouldn’t waive it… I’ve had the iPhone on launch day for years now… Apples pandemic delay is the only reason it was delayed until October.

My anytime upgrade was £100 which was waived. They also waived the £30 handset cost and the £6.98 delivery fee and I’ll return my 12 Pro Max.
