Like most of you, I got the iPhone 12 Pro Max on release day, with Apple now confirming the new iPhone 13 to release next week, we will have to pay to upgrade?

I remember the previous upgrade they waved the upgrade fee when it last went out of sync it would be great to see if they retain loyalty and do the same again as currently it would be £300 to upgrade early 🥺

Dilemma!
The iPhone 13 has just been announced with preorders starting Friday 17th September, with deliveries Friday 24th September.
My upgrade for the iPhone 12 Pro Max is on the 12th November, but this year Apple have released the 13 Pro Max earlier.
I currently have a £100 early upgrade fee, but are these going to waived as a goodwill gesture for many people who will be in this situation?

£100! Mine says £300 upgrade fee! Anytime upgrade and this is on a £109 device plan

Apple held this back as a separate release not EE and you all agreed to the terms of the contract when you took out the device that includes any cost to take advantage of the upgrade anytime. EE might wave this fee but then again they don’t have too.
You’ll have to wait and see but you’ll not get any answer on this yet.

Whilst I think we all appreciate its apple’s choice to hold back rather than EE’s I was merely stating it would be nice for EE to adopt a loyalty approach like they did in previous years not an expectation.
I think it would be a nice gesture for the 1 month early adoption would boost their sales dramatically whilst it’s still fresh and new.

And what happens if Apple move the next one back and the one after forwards. You are essentially getting out of any fees that you agreed to pay to upgrade early is that fair on other customers who are not within the cycle. Where does EE draw the line ? and more importantly why should EE as you agreed to the contract and the T&Cs of that contract. They probably will but don’t be upset if they don’t and do hold you to what you agreed too after all it’s a contract and you are bound by the T&C of said contract.

And as a consumer I have the right to move my business elsewhere so it’s what EE would potentially loose or gain from it? not that I am.
like I said I’m not expecting it however it would be a good gesture whilst I appreciate its not EE’s fault neither is it the consumers fault - it’s supply chain that pushed the original date backwards.
let’s be honest by honouring the early upgrade EE’s hardly missing out in-fact it would potentially gain millions of business?
