No end of problems.
I was meant to go live on the 6th May but it was delayed.
then system cancelled order.
then had a new go live date for the 21st (anytime up until midnight) well it’s now 12:41am and still a red broadband light. This is disgusting. I haven’t been able to work since the 6th as I work from home and this is a new house so I don’t have my previous internet and my 4G isn’t strong enough to use it as a hotspot.
i have lost weeks of income and nobody is helping me!

Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.
It could still be early AM.
What does it say after you log into the router:
Obscure your names & any numbers in the BB Username but post the 1st 2 parts of the IP addy. This will tell us at which stage EE have got to.
Is this for ADSL BB or Fibre? Which router, BrightBox 1 or 2 or Smart Hub?
Does the landline phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?

@XR thanks for coming back to me.
I don’t have a home phone to plug in and check this.
this is a bright box 1. It’s not fibre
when you say “log into the router” what do you mean here? Sorry I’m clueless

Login to your Brightbox at http://192.168.1.1 as "admin" with the admin password on the label on the back of the router.
A corded phone handset is the best diagnostic tool you can have for BB. I strongly recommend getting a cheap corded handset to help diagnose BB issues like yours as well as keeping the line "wet" to help avoiding BB issues & paying out for an engineer to fix faults in your own wiring.

Yes, there's no BB at all. Pity we don't know about the phone.

ok, thanks.
What does it mean that there’s no BB? Does that mean there’s no chance of it going live anytime soon?

I actually said you have no BB at all. You might have had BB but no connection to the Net. In which case the landline would be in place & most of the job would have been done. That's why it is important to know whether there is a dialtone.

Have you called yet to request an on-site engineer to diagnose and fix?
Due to the importance for your job, I would recommend asking for a temporary 4G mobile router with sufficient data and without charge from the provider. (This was done by the fibre-only provider on my estate when, for whatever reason, their main service was not yet ready for a new build.)
If the request is denied and you are certain you have an unlocked mobile, you could check out cellmapper online to pick a provider with a tower near you and get a SIM to provide hotspot/tethered internet access.
From a practical perspective, if your data requirements are not too high, I think the best approach is to explain to a neighbour, who you are not on bad terms with, and ask to borrow their service by accessing via their router due to the impact it could have on income.
