Mini router turning off

Hi all. New to the forum and looking for assistance.
move just bought a mini router for a static caravan. Sold as new other but the lady who sold it me said she never used it. It looks new with the cable still wrapped etc.
anyway- plugged it in yesterday and it’s been working fine up till today and it keeps going off. It’s plugged into the mains as well.
Can anyone shed any light on why this does this? I was hoping to leave it switched on so I could operate cctv and Hive etc.

Hi AndyL.  Not sure if this is what is happening in your case, but those routers are designed to switch to standby if unused for a certain period (around 30 mins I think).  This is to prevent the internal battery draining unnecessarily.

It’s plugged into the mains- does it still go into standby when plugged in as well?

@AndyL1968 , from what I have read, yes it does, as that is what it is designed to do.

Ah. That’s no good then. I could do with it being on all the time. I’m trying to run Hue bulbs and Hive off it at my caravan.
