For the last few days I've had very little or no mobile internet.
I'm on a Google Pixel 4 XL, and have plenty of data left, but the signal indicator continually has an "x" in the bottom right corner when connected to 4G (or H). I can make/receive phone calls, and occasionally I do get some data through (e.g. WhatsApp messages).
I do have mobile data turned on, and Wi-Fi connectivity is not affected.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I have restarted it frequently since the issue arose.
Anyway, I have solved it by erasing all network settings (WiFi/Mobile/Bluetoon) and restarting. Resetting the mobile network settings to reload from the SIM seems to have fixed it.

Hi @geejaytee and welcome to the EE community
As a first check, have you restarted your phone recently? I'd recommend doing that if you haven't done so already.
Can you also check for known network issues on the coverage & status checker , click on "check network" to access the faults checker section.
