I ordered a sim only deal yesterday, and it arrived today. All good and up and running.

i check on the website for usage and was surprised to see id used almost 1 GB (jus doing a few speed tests), used 24MB with Apple Music (ive not opened this app) and  the data period is July 18th to Aug 17th, today, and that it will renew on Aug 18th (I assume).

Can someone explain this? Is this how things are with EE or should i call CS?

Hi @Davebass5 ,

I think that's fine and I saw the same. I think the point is so that you receive your full data allocation in your first month. What it does mean is that you have a huge amount of data that you can binge in one day. 😀

Cheers.

Yeah, thinking about it i guess it means my day 1 starts tomorrow. As long as i don’t get charged for a month that i didnt  have a contract.

Ill download a few BD rips tonight to test the speed 😁
