Hello, my old phone has died and I want to switch to another device but the SIM card is the wrong size (too big). The answers on here and on the EE website seem to require a text to be sent to the existing phone number, but that (as I said) no longer works. so I'm stuck. There is lik but it says it's not secure and won't work. Help please. Thanks

Hello @lizandrews
If the link here under "Order a new SIM" won't work for whatever reason, I can only suggest calling EE C/S on 0800 0798586 from any working phone and speaking to an agent to complete this process.

EE SIMs come as Combi-SIMs of all 3 sizes. Can't you press out your smaller required size?

Sadly it's an elderly Orange Sim, so won't snap out like a modern one does.

Tries again. As I said before EE want to send a text to confirm something but the old phone sadly, no longer works. Would have thought they would happy to take my money. They don't make it easy do they... I'll try calling tomorrow. Thanks.

@lizandrews Have you or a friend got an old orange or unlocked phone you can use just for the text? (After inserting your SIM into it first, or course, so the network thinks it's your old phone)

Thanks, but the only unlocked phone we have (that works) is the one the SIM won't fit...
