Is the first 3 months of apple watch eSim still complimentar?

Hi, 

I have seen on forum enquires from about a hear ago that the apple watch £7 p/m use to come with a complimentary 3 months at the start. However being a year later, i was unsure if this was still the case as when i go to set up mobile data it offers the £7 plan but doesnt mention the complimentary 3 months.
