Ipad Pro 5G

Hi All,

Only a quick one...

Just didn't know if anyone had started receiving any information around the processing &/or shipping of their Ipad Pro 5G pre-orders that they had made yet?

Just for reference and comparison, I have ordered the 12.9 Pro 256GB on 30/4 at 1:21pm (when the website actually loaded showing the 5G's as order-able! 🙂)

Not really losing though are they?  There are clearly not enough of these devices to go round so if you forfeit it then someone else will get it eventually.  It's always the same with mega new launches from Apple, Samsung, Playstation etc, supply cannot meet demand so these threads are so familiar, why are you so amazed?  If you want to avoid the launch day hoopla then don't order on launch day.

@wardi I accept that, but absolutely no (or worse, incorrect) information regarding dispatch dates when other suppliers have regular stock updates and delivery estimates isn’t a particularly good customer experience when you order a product. 


If the expectation had been set that we’d be waiting x amount of weeks from the get go, fine, but that wasn’t the case.

 

Probably is no big loss to EE in the short term, but likely does mean many customers probably wouldn’t order any devices from them again in the future now that they’ve been burnt.

I've received one of these this morning.

I assume this is just another generic email... reminding me to "hang in there" so I don't cancel my order and go elsewhere, as opposed to it meaning that they now have a date for new stock from the supplier?

 

Previously it just said "Your order is on track".

Had that good news one a few days ago as well, going to be waiting a while yet I bet 🙁. Hopefully it ships sometime before Christmas.

@Radeon85OCUK , of course you will get it before Christmas, it just depends what you have ordered and when, as to when you will receive it, as some go to the stores and some are for delivery to online orders, but are shipped on a first come first serve basis, this also depends what the suppliers send out etc.

Yes by Christmas 2022…ordered mine on the 30th - they sent me the old 2020 model. Had to return and wait for account reset, then they did it again. 6th time lucky of ordering on 24th May will see if it turns up before end of July I guess…
