I’ve recently purchased a new iPhone from EE on contact which isn’t going to arrive until next week. After this purchase my iPhone I am currently using will not call or text. When ordering the new phone, I selected that I wanted to keep my original number. Might my number have been already switched to the new phone? Or could it be that it’s because I’ve purchased the new monthly phone package?

Do you see any signal on your phone?
It might be worth checking the EE service checker, to see if there is any network outage in the area you are seeing the issue.

Yes, the service has been fine the whole time

Hi @Katy589
Thanks for posting on the community 🙂
Do you have an EE contract and you have upgraded?
Or, are you transferring your number from another network?
Thanks.
Leanne.

So, my phone which i use now is on pay as you go. I’ve never had a contract with EE, this will be my first one when I get the new iPhone. I did agree to keep this number when I get the new phone but simply thought my calls and texts wouldn’t be affected as I only need to move the sim into the new phone.

Thanks @Katy589
I would suggest getting in touch with our Mobile Care team, they will get this looked into for you.
Thanks.
Leanne.
