Huawei HMS Core update

Hi I have a Huawei P20. It came with Google services as made prior to the ban. However it is now asking me to install the new HMS core update and I do not know if it will wipe my Google apps. I rely on my Gmail app and don't want to convert to Huawei apps. Has anyone updated HMS core since Nov 21st 2021 yet?

@Tigersdont  Any device before the ban came in to force will retain Google services.    

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
