Hello @Bob3003

Are you saying the hotspot functionality is dropping? (This is a device function)

Or that your mobile data is stopping, thus affecting the hotspot?

It’s not the device it’s the phone dropping out I think

When the hotspot functionality drops, does your device/phone still have a working mobile data connection?

Yes it’s still got coverage

Hi @Bob3003,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Does your car remain connected to the hotspot, but have no internet connection, or disconnect from the hotspot altogether?

James

Hi @Bob3003,

When your car disconnects, is your hotspot still showing as active on your phone?

Could you connect a different device to your hotspot and let us know if you see the same issue?

James

I have used a dongle to connect to the car radio and that stayed connected fine - reading some info - I see others have a problem to saying that iPhone turns hot spot off after 90 s 🙈 but this does not happen when connecting to my iPad ?
Cheers Bob

Hi @Bob3003,

I'd recommend contacting your car's manufacturer to see if they are aware of any compatibility issues.

Please let us know how you get on.

James
