Help with new sim activation

please  I  need help either from you and referal to someone one else to activate my wife's new phone . I have done the following without any result 
There are3 simple steps highlighted to follow  which are 
(1)  Enter your number which  and screen 
displayed this message 'Please  gives us your phone number.  For security,  we will send a pin code to your old phone.'  I have done this several time yet no code is sent to the old phone 
(2) Being  that no code is received,  iam unble to complete step 2  which is 
 'Enter your pin '
Step3: Sim activated. 
I will be very grateful for your  kindest response .

If you are having trouble with the activation of your wifes new sim call freephone 0800 956 3146 and a tech advisor will be able to get your wifes new sim up & running.
