I currently have an EE contract for £17 a month but at 83 I only use my phone for calls. My contract ends in 1 month so how can I get a better deal to stay with EE as everyone tells me I can get sky for £5 a month amd just get a pac number? Whats the best...

Hi @margeonline1

If you only use your phone that infrequently and you can get that deal for £5 then go for it. EE cheapest SIM only deal is £13.

Don't forget to unlock your device.

Thanks

Hi @margeonline1

If you're talking about Sky Mobile, then they're not actually a network operator. They're one of the many "piggyback" operators (like Virgin, Asda, Tesco, Giffgaff etc) who currently use O2.

So there's certain network features that you'll almost certainly lose, but.... if those don't matter to you, and price is your main consideration, then @Northerner is absolutely right. What's best for you is the package or deal that best suits your circumstances. And there's no way EE will compete with a £5/month deal.

If you only use it infrequently for calls you could ask EE to switch you to PAYG, For £5 pm you can get 250 mins pm.
