Hi all. Last night I upgraded my handset and tonight I see a new phone number has been added to my account and when I click on my current phone number on the app it says I am eligible for an upgrade now. Does this mean that I have somehow bought a new line instead of upgrading ?

Thanks

Thanks for that I will ring them in the morning

As you upgraded you get to keep your existing no. However you will see in your MyEE for a bit the temp no. EE gave you with the upgraded phone.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP
Right that makes sense as I upgraded through the upgrade button on the app
so I assume I can't have added an extra line, just seeing another number
under my account threw me
Thanks

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance.

Why does it say that my current number is eligible for an upgrade if I upgraded last night

Hi @MickyCarbine,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care Team.

They'll be able to access your account to make sure you've ordered an upgrade, rather than an additional line.

Thanks

James
