Hi there,
Im in a bit of a pickle here, im really hoping someone can help. long story, but basically my Facebook account has been hacked/Disabled and i need to review it, do to this i need to sign in and confirm my identity by way of text message to my phone number on the account, which happens to be a number i stopped using on Dec 28th (When PAC Code was received, Just outside 30 days) i didn't use the PAC as i already had a new number with a new phone company i didn't think i would need it
Iv tried to ask EE for a replacement PAC Code and because the contract was in my Ex partners name they wont speak to me, obviously i cant get a hold of her now, and i need to access my Facebook as i have a business page on there!
is there a way EE can help me either just reactivate my number for a day or so or send me a new PAC code?
Thanks!

If you never used the PAC your (or her) contract wouldn't be cancelled. Can't you just reapply for a PAC by texting PAC to 65075 from the no. concerned?
What did you mean by the PAC Code was received just outside 30 days? 30 days of what? The PAC itself has a life of 30 days.

Hi @edgeychris and welcome to the EE community
As I understand your query, there's 2 main questions here.
1: If you requested a PAC but didn't use it, it lapses and the number will continue being active. Requesting a PAC does not, of itself, serve disconnection notice.
2: You can request a PAC by using the text message service, but if you're not the account holder then C/S will not discuss the account with you without specific third party authority being inplace.

The Contract was up when the PAC codes were sent if that makes sence? so the numbers (or mine atleast) is no longer active so i cant text from it

i meant the PAC code was recieved and we are now just outside of the 30 day life span of the PAC Code life span sorry

Hi @bristolian
sorry, She had already requested a PAC Code and sent it to me, i didnt use it within the 30 days though as i did not think i would need it
So even though we have had PAC codes already they cant just send me another? i cant text from my phone as its already been cut off 😞 iv tried to speak to her and she has said that to be able to get another PAC code, the contact would have to be started again, which means credit checking her again and paying a months line rental again (i dont mind paying) but she doesnt want to be credit checked as she is currently House and Car buying with her new partner and doesnt want extra Credit Checks

Hello @edgeychris.
The information you have been provided is correct.
The account holder would need to call our customer service team for them to look into this further.
Katie 🙂

Hi Katie
So she would need to re-activate the Contract again, be re-credit chcked etc?
is there not another way around it? if i take out a contract for 12m or Sim only contract etc, can i not pick that number again?
Is there any way around it at all please? even if it isnt a PAC code?
Thanks very much

Hi @edgeychris.
If the account has been closed the account holder will need to speak with our customer care team regarding options to retain the number.
Once an account is closed the number will be recycled.
Katie 🙂

These contracts are never just "up", just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, port out or upgrade.
The no. should stll be live & active unless she has cancelled it explicitly by giving notice.
As you are not allowed to speak to CS to re-request a PAC & she won't I'm suggesting getting it by text as your only way out in the hope that it is the only no. on that a/c.
