Google Mesh Wifi

We have a real issue with our mobile broadband dropping off around the house. It’s pretty awful actually. I’ve had antenna installed which has improved the speed close to the router but have ordered a Google WiFi router and 2 work points to help spread the WiFi signal around the house.

Has anyone set these up with Mobile Broadband? I’ve got the 4GEE home router. How can I access the settings to turn off the router part, so that I can use the Google router with the Modem part of the existing router? Is it even possible with mobile broadband?

Thanks

You can't run EE routers in modem-only mode.

Just a quick update on this. I had to change the EE hub for a new Netgear 2120 Modem, then I could use the Google router and the Google Nest mesh system works great. We have had no signal drop offs and i haven't had to reboot the new modem/router once yet!

The simcard was mini rather than Micro so I needed an adaptor for the new Netgear modem.

Also strangely our speeds are slower with the external antenna plugged in. So that is now redundant.
