Galaxy fold 3 not in stock

I upgraded and ordered a Galaxy fold 3 last week the 30th August.

Due to the plan I was on they, I also paid £70 towards the phone.

After not hearing anything after a week, I phoned to be told that they were not in stock at present. Got no idea of a delivery date. 
Why advertise and take peoples money if it’s not in stock. 😡

As soon as we have your order and this has been dispatched, you will be contacted by DPD to let you know when this will be delivered.

It’s called being open and honest in your selling.

EE shouldn’t promote or advertise without a disclaimer that it’s currently out of stock especially if taking a deposit.

Think this should be reported to the ombudsman and I may well do it. This is misrepresentation especially when taking peoples money. Most people are willing still to order if they are told in advance what’s happening and can make an informed decision. 

I'm gathering you still haven't received yours either? I was lied to yesterday and told it's to do with a Chip shortage. It's nothing to do with that at all. Production is back to it's best in Asia, our company is importing more and quicker than ever.

 

Stop giving stock answers EE and start actually addressing your customers!

We're giving you as much information as we have at the moment. We're awaiting more stock from the manufacturer. As soon as we have this, we'll dispatch them in the order in which they were placed.

You received a shipment on Monday 13th, you still haven't fulfilled orders from the 27th. 

 

You're lying to customers and telling them no more than 14 days. I'm so glad I recorded my phone call with EE, after all, verbal confirmation is still binding under my rights as a consumer. If it hasn't arrived by Monday, you cannot argue your breach. As I have no dispatch email yet, I'm gathering this one could be a tricky one to lie your way out of when it doesn't arrive.

 

EE could possibly have the worst customer service reputation (next to talktalk) on earth.

As an update for anybody reading this thread. I have had absolute assurance from EE that the delay is now over and all orders will be delivered within 7 days (of the 16th September) 

 

I have screenshots of the entire conversation, so if EE don't fulfil this promise, I'm pretty sure that's going to go badly for them. @Christopher_G

According to EE yesterday. New orders are expected to wait between 4 & 6 weeks.
