Friends and Family discount conflict

Hi,  I have a F&F code to use to order a new connection. I'm an existing EE customer which means that the order is currently auto deploying a 10% discount (current promotion). I am unable to use the F&F code because it conflicts with the auto 10% discount but would obvs rather have the bigger discount. Any way around this?
