I recently transferred to EE from T-mobile. I have received the following SMS in answer to BALANCE to 150.
Your current balance as of today is £31.39. You have unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 466MB remaining until 05/09/2020 for your £15 Pack.
You have £10.00 remaining until 04/10/2020 for your £10 free credit for 60 days. Your remaining data includes of rolled over data. Your last top up was £15.00 on 19/08/2020 at 23:19. For more info on your packs, add-ons or free boosts, go to MyEE. ee.co.uk/myee
For info on our other Text Services, reply HELP or go to ee.co.uk/textservices.
Question
1. Does anyone know why the £10 free credit is showing separately from my main PAYG credit.
2. What can the £10 be used to purchase and
3. How do I ensure the £10 is used first for any purchases (ie. PACK renewal, or ADD-ON) in preference to my transferred PAYG credit and before the time limit is reached?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I believe you got the £10 free credit as a reward for transferring your PAYG from T-M to EE.
In answer to all your 3 Qs in 1:
The free credit can only be used for out-of-allowance charges, like sending MMS or making calls & texts from UK to non-UK nos. It cannot be used to buy Packs or Add-ons. These can only be bought out of your normal PAYG credit.

Well, one month on and I just wanted to add a small update.
My £15 PAYG Pack has just renewed itself and fortunately for me I received an SMS indicating that my main credit had reduced by only £5 and a second SMS saying that my £10 Free Bonus had now been used.
It appears that the £10 bonus for transferring from T-MO to EE can be used towards the cost of renewing a PAYG Pack. Obviously I'm not complaining, thanks EE !!!

Hi there @Mychilltime111
I'm very sorry to hear about your Mum, I hope she is OK.
If you need to make calls you would need to top up your account.
For information on how to top up, please see our How to top-up a pay as you go phone, Help page.
Thanks.
Leanne.
