Hi

When pre-order the inference is that you will get it on the launch day , so if you are not going to get it then EE and other carriers should be telling their customers in advance of the launch date. Clearly from some of the contributors they have started to get pre-despatch confirmations , let's hope that the rest of us get one in the next 12-18 hrs !

@the_bing No news yet unfortunately, I have been on live chat with EE this morning and they told me that the phone has been successfully ordered and 'picked up' but they said as the release day is tomorrow it could be up to 3 working days before I get it.

Not too long to wait I guess but I was really hoping for it on release day.

Hi, looks like some got DPD pre-notification emails so likely to get tomorrow.

How access live chat? Can't see any links on EE website?

Shouldn't be telling people that they will get it on release day if they not going to get it on release day, poor show to be honest,

It would be a different story if it was to do with paying you bill, it's due out on the 27th but you'll get paid when I feel like it in 3 working days maybe..

Who's going to get ? It's not rocket science . EE know who has pre-ordered and work for large online electrical retailer , so know pte-orders come in a at least a few days before release date , so they will know what stock they have.  Just a case of comparing the two lists. If Santa can do it for millions of children , I'm sure EE can do it for a few thousand customers 🙂

To get to live chat I think I was inadvertently on the Business site, and there was a help popup in the bottom right hand corner I used.

Yes, I agree, you preorder expecting delivery on the release day so feel that it should really be delivered then, it doesn't help that its released on a Friday so 3 working days doesn't include the weekend 😔

Also still waiting for my z fold 3, ordered on the 12th, called today around 10:15 to ask if I will have the phone on release day or if its been moved to the September bracket it now shows online, was told i would have it tomorrow , still no info from the dpd app so we shall see

Chris - is it possible that someone can speak with DPD on my behalf.  They are useless.

You are paying them for next day delivery.

They booked me in for 3pm tomorrow for my Fold 3, and then changed it themselves until the next day, saying it was my request, presumably so they dont have to deliver next day.

When i called them they said they can only deal with you....

Its nonsense

Yeah so none of you saw that memo from Samsung saying they were over whelmed with pre-orders and they were struggling to keep up with demand then?
Apple will most likely suffer the same consequences come late sept. Chip shortage and general slow manufacturing is unfortunately to blame. I’m not holding my breath for my Fold 3 tomorrow.

It's one big massive mess up, releasing a phone a on Friday knowing far well if don't get it Friday going to be mid-week at least,

If they is a storage of what ever, don't tell people that going to get it on release day false promises in my opinion,

All in the same boat I hope some of us get it tomorrow and let the unlucky one know what the phone is like.
