Excellent Line Attenuation, poor SNR

Hi Forum,
After a few weeks of fairly regular, short, drop outs and many tests by the Broadband team at EE, but finding nothing, I changed the modem/router out as it was fairly old and getting red hot.
New modem/router installed and all working fine, but I notice that whilst
the line Attenuation is good (Under 18dB) the SNR is fairly bad

Max Rate (kbps) | 23356 | 51103 |
SNR Margin (dB) | 8.6 | 6.2 |
Line Attenuation (dB) | 18.1 | 9.1 |
Errors (pkts) | 0 | 0 |
We had Openreach out to replace the incoming cable and wallbox a few months back, so that shouldn't' be the issue.
Any ideas?

There's nowt wrong with a NM of 6dB. It is the usual target. Your Current Rate is almost hitting your Max Rate.

Thanks for the reply. Seems I might be overthinking it then.
Hopefully changing the modem/router will stop these interrupts then.

You must be! Attenuation & NM are not related. Attenuation is a measure of distance. NM is a measure of insurance or a leeway against noise.
