I have an iPhone 11 which is currently on giffgaff and so it is unlocked. I am wanting a second number and it seems the only way will be to get an esim.
What I am trying to figure out though is how to do this.
I don't want to transfer my existing number to EE as I want to keep that with giffgaff.
I want a second number on an esim which means I can use it for work.
That way I am able to have two lines in one handset.
Do I just pick up a SIM card in the shop and scan the code off that or is there some magical method I cannot find out!

To have an eSIM with EE you need to take out a SIM-Only contract with EE. The SIMs you find in shops are probably not that but PAYG.

@autisticaimee This has to be a contract sim to use the eSim. You’ll get a sim then you need to request a QR pack this will transfer the sim information on to the eSim and this can be done all in store.

Thanks - that is frustrating as I don't want to spend £13 a month for a second sim as I would need it PAYG.
I'll look into other options for an esim then (I found some online that focus on people going on holidays so need the option for a second sim and they are PAYG)
Thanks again
