Iphone Xs unlocked and works with 02 and smarty networks but when I put my EE sim in says Phone not allowed. Any guidance on what the issue might be would be much appreciated

@davidmcleod5432 : Your phone is locked to O2 network. You need to contact them to get it unlocked.

Thanks, phone has also been checked and works with a vodaphone sim. Can it still be locked to 02 if this is the case?

@davidmcleod5432 If you go to Settings>General>About and scroll down to Network Provider Lock and it says No Sim Restrictions then the device is unlocked. If it say something else it’s not. If it does say it’s unlocked can you try a different EE sim in the device?

Thanks for coming to the community about this.
I know how important it is to stay connected, let's find out what's going on.
Could I just check, where did you get the EE SIM from and is it a contact or pay as you go SIM?
Thanks.
Chris.

@davidmcleod5432 ! The phone isn’t locked the issue is with the sim. You need to try a working EE sim. (not the the you have)

Hi
EE sim is my current contract sim which still works on my old phone

Is it possible that the phone could be blacklisted on EE but (yet) not on other networks?

If the phone is unlocked this should work with any network SIM card.
What message shows when you put the EE SIM in the phone?
Leanne.
