Hi all,
I just moved house my previous provider TalkTalk was not available in this area, and my previous provider o2 was rubbish signal here too. Thought I would move everything over to EE.
I went full in
Broadband (£40 / month):
* Fibre CPE
* Smart Wifi
* 4G Data Plan Backup
For mobile (already owned):
Myself: iPhone 7 Max + iWatch 4 (4G)
Partner: iPhone 11 XS
EE Phone contracts were not competitive and I needed an upgrade, so I bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max unlocked. Took out PAYG plans
Myself: PAYG £15 / month (unlimited texts + minutes & 8GB Data)
Partner: PAYG £10 / month (unlimited texts + 100 minutes & 4GB Data)
The problem:
My iWatch says I can't get the 4G subscription with the current plan, little bit of research, I need a Pay Monthly. 150, lengthy credit check (as I just moved house), etc. I am now on a better plan £10 / month for basically the same thing, with 12 month lock in. I am very happy I have just saved £5.
However I still can't get my watch linked.
1. Chat with Technical Support
2. Told to ring Digital Sales
3. Transferred to Upgrades
*** I am now told that I can't add an eSim to my account for 3 months ***
I have an iWatch here which TBH the main reason I have is in case my phone is not near me and I have to wait 3 months for no good reason.
Additionally my partner has ran out of minutes, and I want to get her over to the same package as me. Again I am told I am not allowed to do this for another 3 months.
Can someone help me understand if this information that I have is correct, or if there is any legitimate work around. I moved to EE because I need reliable digital connectivity. I put my eggs in the EE basket and looks like it was not the best decision.
Thanks

Hi there @hul_me
Thanks for coming to the community.
If you would like further details on why you are unable to add the 30-day smart watch plan for your watch and get an additional contract at the moment, please give us a call on 150 our Mobile Care team can get this looked into further for you.
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Hi Leanne,
Thanks for your reply, To save getting bounced around again, is it possible to me to request to speak directly with you, or any specific reference that you can give me?
I spoke with a a nice gentlemen called Ben (I think) earlier today from your team, of course I don't want to drop him in it, but he was the person who advised me that it was not possible and I had to wait 3 months.
I am unsure if this was specifically the "30-day smart watch plan", To be honest I find it difficult to find any eSim packs on your website to use with my watch. I just requested the ability to add my 4G Apple Watch.
Kind Regards hul_me

Hi @hul_me
You would need the £7.00 smart watch plan to use cellular on the watch, this would be added when you pair the watch with your iPhone, you can't buy this on the EE Shop online.
If you call 150 any one of the team will be able to check this for you 🙂
Thanks.
Leanne.
