Downloading apps

I have put my old phone to factory reset and given it to Oxfam to recycle. It has no sim card in it. I am trying to download apps to my new phone but everytime I get a message "installed" and shows my old device. Why is this please.

My guess is it's an old android phone - nothing to worry about, google keeps a log of phones you've sign in to and apps you've had on those

You probably need to also remove the old device form your Google account, it's in the security settings. You shouldn't really click links from the internet like this, so go to the manage your google account option and under Security you should see all your devices. You can then manage them and remove any you don't have any more.
