I ordered a 4GEE Home Router on 4th April but the tracking status still says “Awaiting confirmation”. I know theses are strange times but is there any way to get this delivered. I need it so I can work from home

This will depend whether EE have them in stock, or are awaiting stock, but you could contact customer service to see whether they can give you an answer, as here in the forums we would not know the answer, but you may have to wait on the line for a long time, as they are very busy, due to the current situation with Covid-19 and being short staffed, due to staff isolation.
