When asking EE to unlock my phone they said that the IMEI didn't exist on their files even though we had had it on a monthly contract for two years. Below is the email from L.G confirming that it does exist. EE have a get out clause in that the original phone with the contract was dropped one month into contract and I bought from the same EE shop a new one costing £100-00 which was entered into the contract in place of broken one. EE say that although the sim card was transferred to the new contract , the phone wasn't, any help to resolve this prob, would be helpful. Mick.

Hi @Mickarchie
Welcome to the community.
Sorry the image has been rejected as this contains personal details.
Did you buy the replacement phone on pay as you go and use the contract SIM card?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Where did you yourself get this device itself originally? Did you buy it yourself new direct from EE or from a 3rd-party reseller or is it 2nd-hand? The unlocking process & costs are different. Was it originally on contract or PAYG?

I did mention this in the original text. The phone broke so went back to same shop, bought a new one which was put on to the same account.

Dunno. I;m not in a position to say whether those nos. contain personal info, like IMEIs.
If it is acceptable, it will be approved & will appear soon.

Thank you. I have given EE the details but they aren't interested. Like selling stuff but aren't prepared to follow up at the end of contract,. There's always Ofcom I suppose.
