I am trying to use EE 4G SIMs on mobile CCTV streaming DVRs. The device will work on UK networks that support WCDMA FDD LTE. I have no issues using O2 but i cannot get comms working on EE. Any ideas

Assuming the Device is SIM and Network Free have you checked or changed the APN Settings in the Device to match the EE APN Settings.

Yes the device sim free. I have put the correct APN details in. The device works as i said with O2 4G. The device manufacturer wants to clarify is that the EE network WCDMA FDD LTE which i believe it is. I may have to talk to EE technical to get the answer.

EE as all the 4 UK Networks are WCDMA and FDD LTE, Or in better terms 3G and 4G.

Thanks for the confirmation, you know when you are dealing with some suppliers they will not always accept your first answer and always want another confirmation. My belief is there is a problem with their device now i have the uphill battle with them 🙂

What's the Device, and what Bands does it support, are you in good EE Coverage.

It's also worth being aware, EE have refarmed extensive amounts of spectrum that was previously used for 3G services, and is now 4G.

Whilst no 3G coverage has been (or is being) removed, the quantity of spectrum is now down to 5Mhz in many areas, which will restrict the speed of streaming services.
