Connecting amazon echo dot to 4g mini router

Hi everyone,

 

I've got an amazon echo dot 4 for Christmas. I'm running the EE 4gee wifi mini box with an unlimited '3' data sim card. I cannot connect the dot to the ee box no matter what I try.

 

I managed to connect it to my android hotspot on my phone but only after changing the band to 5gz instead of 2.4ghz. 

 

Someone help, please! 🙏

It maybe the "3" data SIM which is the issue. 

 

It should connect normally if you have used the Amazon app.
