How do i detach chrome from my gmail .phone was accessed to do with chrome google alert last march .it wont give me option to delete it or remove it have disabled chrome but its still attached to gmail

Dont know how i got it but when got my gmail up there was a picture of chrome symbol and said it was connected ive disabled chrome now is that enough or do i have to unlink it when open the browser

I cant get back to it have disabled chrome also it was an old chrome number when i reinstaled it it could update but ive disabled it but dont know if thats enough
