Cant use my phone number to make purchases on my iTunes account.

I live in the uk where EE is available to make purchases on the iTunes Store however when I try to link my phone number to my iTunes account it says that it cant be done.

@Minty2   That’s because there is a block on your EE account to stop 3rd party charges being made to your EE account.  You’ll need to call customer services to have this removed.  You could try texting UNBAR to 150 as it might remove it.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

it’s telling me that i have to use a credit card in order to remove it which is pretty stupid considering that the only reason i am trying to use my number for iTunes purchases is because i don’t have one. If there is any other way let me know but if there isn’t and an EE staff member is seeing this please change that.

As mentioned above, you will need to call our Customer Care team about this.

 

They will be able to access your account and help you further.

I have but it just tells me to come here. I might be doing something wrong so what options do I need to press.
