BritBox as a swappable benefit

Hi, I have chosen BritBox as my swappable benefit on a SMART plan. How do I get access to activate my BritBox account?

I have the has same issue and Have called EE twice about it. Now resolved. They referred me to a link on the Britbox site:

www.britbox.co.uk/ee

 

from there you need to put in your details and then you get a pin, which then sets you up. The login screen acknowledges it’s a swappable benefit, so shouldn’t be an additional charge. 

EE staff noted it was unclear and will look to make the process clearer online.

@NJPK83   text BRITBOX to 150 and use the link in the return message. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

That doesn’t set up BRITBOX as a Swappable. It merely gets you it free for 6 months before charging you £5.99/month. I don’t think EE have thought this one through. I’ve had BRITBOX as a Swappable for 2 months - except I can’t access it. Pretty useless.

Big thank you from me. You have achieved in 2 minutes what EE has failed at for the past 2 months. I did as you instructed and it worked - brilliant! I think EE should do its customers a favour by dropping Kevin Bacon and using all the money saved to employ you as a Customer Service Guru!

just hoping that Britbox (who I had previously subscribed to) are able to work out on their end that they should not charge me any more for the service, as it’s now a swappable benefit through EE! I cancelled it with them a few weeks ago, so hoping its is a smooth transition. 

I thought I was going mad until I finally found this post! Even now there is no useful information on the EE help pages about how to activate Britbox when you have it as a Smart benefit (rather than the free for 6 months version).
