Personal hotspot not showing as an option on iphone

I had a iPhone 6plus which had the option for personal hotspot. I upgraded to a new 8 plus and it does not have the personal hotspot option. How can I add this. I am on unlimited data SIM only. Thanks

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you go into Settings, do you have Personal Hotspot showing? 

If not, can you try a network reset, to do this go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings, this will remove any saved WiFi passwords.

thanks for the reply. The option was not in settings as you would expect. A reset did not work. 

however, I solved it. It was in a further menu ‘mobile network’. Once activated there then it appears in the menu choices in settings.
