Bought new phone yesterday (over the phone) but no delivery info or confirmation

Hello,

I bought a new phone yesterday over the phone. They were arranging for it to be delivered today. I didn't receive a confirmation email or text so I rang back and they confirmed that it was on the system to be delivered today. I still haven't received any confirmation. I rang back again and now a ticket has been raised and I need to call back Monday. Apparently, my order in on there but they can't get in to see the delivery information. Now I just have to wait in all day just in case and then ring back Monday if it hasn't arrived. This is such a nuisance and I wondered if this had happened to anyone else and then the delivery still arrive? Thanks

@Angelblossom   You are texted by DPD with a delivery time slot on the day of delivery.

This happened to me over this week just gone, could you tell me when you finally received your phone? 

@Ctaylor-96   Did you order the same device as @Angelblossom when you ordered didn’t say the device was in stock ?     I order a device on Saturday and I’ve received it today this all come down to if a device is in stock.    
Did you receive any confirmation emails ?
