My son works for BT and gave me a discount code, I recently upgraded and thought I'd use the code, but it wouldn't let me. So I rang customer support who said the code must be applied by my son, I spoke to him and he said he would do it, but he can't do it as he's not me and can't apply it to my account!, I'm looking for some advice and a solution to this before I cancel my order and go else where!

Is it a family and friends code? I've done this recently for a friend.
You enter the code at checkout when you're purchasing your contract/upgrade. If your son contacts their HR/benefits team, they may be able to help get it added on for you.

It is a FandF discount code, I applied it online when I did upgrade, got email saying order being processed then a couple of days later got email saying order cannot be processed!. I rang and did my order over the phone and was told my son would have to apply discount code. He has tried to do this and isn't able to.

@PaulR68 it needs applying at point of checking out not after. Once it's been processed it can't be added.
Give EE a call and discuss your options.

It may be better for your son to contact the benefits/HR team to explain what's happened, @PaulR68.
They may be able to help him get it added.
