Has anyone had movement on their watch order yet? I ordered just after 1pm on the pre order day but still is sitting at “awaiting confirmation” SS graphite 45mm

@Dodgy_Geezer 7000 watches total or 7000 of each model type/colour. And seeing as EE do not know how many of each type they will receive how can they say they will get 7000. I ordered from Apple and it was complete by 3 minutes past and I still didn’t get my watch on launch day for home delivery. I got it today and that’s directly from the manufacturer.

@Chris_B - That’s exactly my point! I went by what the telesales person told me at the time of order, I’d like to think there’s an element of trust in the information that they provide, this is sales execs though, pretty much the same the world over to make their quota’s.
If they’re shooting numbers in the dark then who’s fault is that?

I called 150 on Friday, was told to expect delivery on Monday. Monday came and I called again and was told I can expect to wait beyond 28 days due to a chip shortage…. Despite having pre ordered the Watch. Cancelling the order and waiting for stock will put you at the back of the list also. It will also consume one of the possible 5 lines on your account. Even though it’s not available or active, it still reserves a spot. No further info on expected date of arrival is being offered.

Just had an email telling me “my order is on track” saying they are waiting the delivery dates from the manufacturers before confirming. So still non the wiser on the waiting time

STILL no update received from EE directly, nearly a week after I was told I'd get the watch. So once again I decided to look for myself online, and I now have a delivery date of 12-16 Nov. So that's nearly a month away (assuming THAT's accurate).
I'll say this again, in case anyone from EE is actually reading these....WHERE IS THE COMMUNICATION? I fully get that they are dependent on what Apple give, but do EE also tell Apple how many they think they'll need? Did they massively underestimate and order too few from them? Did they do everything right, but have been let down by Apple, who in turn are struggling with components and meeting orders? As I said before, what separates the A* companies from the rest is their ability to adapt, rise above issues, and to keep their customers informed. It's much worse to be told one thing, it not be realised but then with almost no communication, like they're burying their head in the sand.
It's possible that EE themselves didn't know there would be a stock issue on pre-order day, and so the poor guys on the phones weren't to know and relied instead on what their own systems told them. However, it's also the case that they've pushed the Apple Watch since 2015, and they're a technology company that have dealt with Apple for many years. They've also had another Apple launch just a few weeks before, which had something approaching the same kind of issues with stock. Taking that experience on board, what should have happened when I ordered, assuming that the stock issues became known AFTERWARDS, is the occasional email or text to say that they are still working with Apple to complete orders, but for <<the actual reason>> they have struggled to meet the demand, and that they're doing all they can. Some may say that's too much and they have a lot of customers, but they also have automated systems and they're a telecoms company!! Since my order now at least has a projected date for delivery, the least I should expect is not to have to constantly look it up in case things have changed.
I've never had an issue with EE before, or certainly not since the jet black iPhone 8 debacle, though again I think that was a supply issue because of the coating. Whatever the reason for these issues, and regardless of whether it's actually EE's fault, these last couple of months have left a bad taste.

Ordered at 13:13 on preorder day for 45mm graphite steel and my tracker just updated to 12-16 November, what a joke when promised on launch day.

Well it certainly ain’t looking good for me, ordered at the same time 13.15 and had zero correspondence, no tracker nothing, just keep getting told 28 days, like is it resetting everyday?

I still haven't heard back anything other than 'your order is on track' on the 15th of October. The order tracking says 'awaiting confirmation'. It's kinda sad because the Apple Store literally has the SS Gold combo available to purchase immediately. I'm only going with EE on this one because it is cheaper over two years.

I also haven't heard anything more than "Your order is on track"... the people on the phones are saying 28 days.... but no ETA on my EE? And it also seems to be 28 days everytime I call... it was 28 days last Saturday and is 28 days also today.... I'm really disappointed in this, whether it be EE or Apple. I just want my new watch :'(

When I try track it now what I get is :
We'll let you know when your new Watch S7 45mm Gold SteelCase Cherry Band is on it's way to you. There's lots you can do in the meantime, including backing up your old device.
but still no date lol
