Apple Watch Series 6 mobile connectivity

Bluesky1848

Hi

So I bought a new series 6 Apple Watch which has cellular connectivity so I should be able to use it independently from my iPhone. There doesn’t seem

to be an option to set this up though?

Under “mobile data” in the Apple Watch app, I just see the following. Any idea what I need to do??

Thanks

edit - realise the picture doesn’t show.... the message is “EE does not currently support Apple Watch.”  The “Set Up Mobile Data” option is greyed out.

Hello @Bluesky1848 ,

Welcome to the community,

Do not worry about the picture not showing, that is normal as it has to be approved first.

Did you set your watch up over wifi? If you did, you will have to start again and make sure that both the phone and and watch are using data only. Just unpair and your new watch first and then start again over data and you should be able to get it to work over data, as it should also then ask whether you want to connect with data. This happened to me. Hope this helps and you can get it working..

Having looked at the image, you were on wifi and that is why it did not work, so, just do the above and it should work.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. I tried as you suggested - still no change however. Exactly the same message which means I can’t connect to mobile data.

Thanks

Hi @Bluesky1848.

If you're still getting the same error message, we may need to check your account is set up correctly.

I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team so they can check this for you.
