Annoying sim card alert message

Every so often: at least twice a day; (sometimes a dozen times in one hour) I get an alert message telling me the sim card isn't working and I'll be unable to use my phone or connect to networks ... even though my phone continues to work as it should. It's really ('really') irritating.

Can't begin to describe how frustated I feel. Followed all the DIY advice here to resolve the problem - nothing worked! ... Took phone to EE shop Blackpool who ran a diagnostic couldn't find a fault so replaced the sim card - didn't work! ... Spent over an hour on-line with technical help - didn't work! ... Advised to go back to EE Blacpool shop who said all they can do is send it off for repair: but wouldn't provide a replacement, even though the repair is likely to take 'up to two weeks'! ... And (to top it al off) when I expressed how unsatisfactory it is, and how: if I cancelled my contract with EE, any new provider would have a phone with me the next day; they virtually said "You can't do that! You're locked into your contract for the next 18 months!!!" (Not 'we don't want to loose you' - Not 'we value your custom' ... Just a rather smug 'try it! It'll cost you!" 🤬

Happy to report that EE have now resolved my complaint satisfactorily - very pleasant and helpful staff from their complaints team sorted it very quickly ... I was quick enough to complain - so I should be equally prompt in thanking EE.
